The Traffic (GHANA)


 The best thing in life i believe is being able to earn a living by working.

Accra is one of the places that has lots of jobs and some much, a good pay.

Many people from all over the country sometimes prefer the living and working conditions in Accra to their own towns and therefore seek jobs in Accra.

With this, one would have to travel through towns to reach Accra and to their workplaces.

Accra as we all know is a very busy place, filled with lots of people and vehicles.

The number of vehicles that cruise through the township is much more than the traffic distance, that is from one traffic point to another.



Due to this situation, our city's main roads are always packed all day especially in the morning. 

Traffics could take hours to move through a little distance.

" A motorway has usually two lanes per side of the road and has tollgates as motorways charge toll. Also, the traffic in a motorway is uninterrupted without traffic signals. This is possible because no pedestrians are allowed to travel in a motorway and it does not have intersections."

But our motorway travellers seem to find themselves in hour lasting trafficks on the highways especially the N1 which leads from Accra to Tema and back.

Workers who are to report by 8:00 am find it difficult to get to work on time and those who leave their homes early to avoid trafficks at dawn end up being victims of armed robbery.



The ACCRA-TEMA MOTORWAY is very important just like all other roads.

I hope that government will initiate proper expansion methods for our roads and ways to curb the traffics.

If we reach our workplaces early, productivity goes on the rise.

POLICE BRUTALITY

I believe that the duty of a policeman to a citizen or civilian is to protect them. Also, even when apprehending an armed robber or a suspected armed robber, I believe that running them over with your vehicle is not one of the techniques to handle the situation. How does the Police channel of authority work? Who ensures where and when a squad is to be at a particular location and for what purposes. Who allocates these.  Or has the police turned into market men and women who do not report to anyone and setup anywhere they want? Even market women nowadays have got territories that they respect. So, the public would want to know,  Who allocated the location and task to the officers?  And what was the content of their task? Were they supposed to bring in the suspects or kill them on sight? I don't belive we live in a country where we kill suspects before we interrogate them
